best ones I've had are the LF Spectrum 1's 10/12/15, Best Nemis 10/12/14 2005 and a naish x4 14 but it was very heavy on the bar.

Best Boost, Try a Tribal then let us know YOUR results.
Nearly Tribal boost but a bit more hang time, try Matrix.

The Raven and Torch look like they should be somewhere in the vacinity of the above 2.

Then of course the 07 Tribal, Vegas and Matrix will turn up and the leap frogging will continue.

I'm talking of the boost you get in steady sweet spot wind, consistantly.

Shane Im going to demo one in Hawaii I like the look of the new raven.

Gfmike I have the 06 raven and the boost and hangtime is very good, thats what that kite was designed for and its a super smmoth kite.

My mate has the 06 rhino and that kite goes big as well and is super smooth.

As for the raven dumping you it lets you down nice and slowly but like anything if the kites not in the right position it can drop you pretty quickly.

Wouldn't mind trying the new Raven as well by the sounds of it!

Just borrowed a nemi pro 10m - now all we need is 30kts to try it out!

the new F-One Rival looks like it might rival the the tribal and Raven with boost because it is also high aspect. Does the Raven turn faster then the Torch? I would be looking at the 14m...and do the flat kites jump like the Ravens or other high aspect kites? Im also looking at the new 07 Boxer.

The flat kites dont jump as high as the raven or any c kite , although you will get more hangtime out of a flat kite. With the raven the spike in the jump is very powerfull it really lifts you up really fast and hangtime is unreal.

As for turning the torch will turn quicker than the raven but their is not alot in it.As for aspect ratio the raven is more meduim to high I wouldnt say it is a high aspect as the older kites. It also looks like the new naish kites have a new depowering system which is almost as good as the sle kites if this is true I wouldnt even bother with a bridled kite if your worried about depower.

Here is another link with more information on the torch 07.

ok....so do we all agree that the Raven would be up there then followed by the Tribal and Matrix. The Flat kites dont jump as high but they have hang time?

I wasn't so sure if Flat Kites didnt jump as high as C kites..but i guess you have answered my question. Im still tossing up between the New Boxer SLE, Tribal, Rival and.....Raven!!! Aaaaaaaagh!!

All i really want is boost and hang time...but that new Boxer SLE looks most suitable being all terrain and it looks like alot of fun!

I think you should tell your story to the young gun in W.A testing the new 'Rebel', he may argue with you

so.....hang on is that just the rider skill and ability that gains the extra boost and hang time on the Flat Kite?

The naish's look to have less curve than the F-ones but maybe more than the Matrix.
They also appear to have slim struts similar to F-one but slimmer than Matrix and Vegas.

The Rival may only be a choice in sizes above those available in the Tribal.

The Tribal is King of boost. but once you are up where these curved tip C kites take you, who quibles over a few feet.

Ral Inn all kites boost well some kites bigger than others, at the end of the day it comes down to technique.

We all know you deal in f one kites and are continually pimping them and to say the tribal rules is plain stupid.I still remember you putting up a 13.5 meter kite at dolls in 40 knot winds and getting smacked.

And yeh the rebel jumps big as well awesome video , and then again you had Naish team rider on a raven boost 65 to 70 feet at red bull king of the air so does that make the raven the best jumping kite , I dont think so, like I said it all comes down to technique. And as for pro riders jumping big they will make any kite look good.

Well for sure any kite will, given the right combo of conditions boost big. But doing it consistantly and easy enough for us mere mortals. narrows down the field a bit.

As everyone knows I sell F-one then it's not pimping.
I am telling it as I see it.
When I get to try a Raven or Torch with their curved tip design, I may well get to say they boost bigger.

I am expecting that they will be there with the Vegas, Matrix, Impact, curved tip kites.
The Tribal's "Integral depower" allows us mere mortals to depower as we start edging and power up as we pop, in a more controlled manner.
this is where the extra boost comes from.

Pros of course, have perfect control at all times.

Still I am expecting the Torch and Raven to be a big thing this season for Naish.

So for the Tribal and flat kites...you dont need to edge so hard when you load up the kite to jump? you just simply kite and then pull the bar in?

I have tried a flat kite a couple of time and found that if you pull the bar in...you just suddenly get that power and lift and yes you dont really need to edge or time it like the c kites. From reading what everyone has said i am guessing that you dont get the big boost of the high aspect kites on the flat kites but you can get good hang time on the flat kites. I saw Dan and Reece jumping on the the flat kites the other day and they were getting quite high and seemed to get a good amount of hang time.

what would you choose? the boxer sle? tribal? or raven? I really like flying with the bar on the stopper

If I were you I would demo all of them and then make your decision.
Most 06 kites are really good so I imagine 07 will be another good year with the brands and kites your thinking of getting Im sure you will find a nice kite that suits your style of riding.

As for Ral Inn his not a punter like you and I, he has his buisness in his best interests and like any shop owner they will tell you what makes them the most money, just have a look he is always pimping f one kites not to say they are bad kites Im sure their very good kites.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for the plug Danza,

I actually make the most $ from North, Naish and Slingshot.

So I am really hoping the new naish's hit the mark.

gfmike737, you may have answered most of your own question, when you said you like flying with the bar on the stopper.

To do this on an SLE or Tribal requires a secure stopper which negates most of the depower benefits.

So back to the top of your list goes the Torch and Raven, plus Matrix and Impact and Fuel. Of course I haven't personally seen anything of the 07 Fuel. Also the Yarga and Nemesis are curved tipped as well. And nearly forgot the Vegas.

It will probably take you all season to test them all.

And back to the edging so hard bit.
There is no substitute for good technique, but us mere mortals can use this extra depower to pluck some decent air out of what should have been a fizzer.
When you dial in the technique with the extra depower you reap the rewards.
