Had my NEW 07 mystic harness come unbuckled while kiting today, tried tightening via the strap but it still looks like it could unbuckle if forced in the wrong direction.
Anyway looking on the Mystic site the buckle is positioned this way to enable a quick entry/exit, i,m thinking of turning mine around so it won,t unbuckle again.
Anyone else copped this problem?

Does the buckle hook in from the outside? If so, I have heard of a few coming undone - definately for 1 guy it was when riding toeside. Didn't happen to me as I reversed mine pretty quickly. Now I don't use the buckle, just feed the webbing through the loop on the spreader bar. No chance of it coming undone & not worried about the safety aspect as I have QR on the chicken loop, kite leash and the warrior harness leash.

Mine came undone a few times when new, after a few sessions, it started to soften a bit and now doesn't come undone at all now. Make sure you feed the web strap through the spreader bar, and tighten hard so you dont lose kite, harness and all. When tightening, wriggle the main strap up and down while pulling...it gets it a little tighter.
Wait until you start to get the Warrior Scars on your hips....at least you know it stays where it is suppose to.... Harness Rocks

I had the same problem - happened immediately when I switched to toeside

Solved it by removing the clip and feeding the webbing directly like Axis did.

wow, that's a bit excessive. just get some strong pliers like vise grips and squeeze the buckle tighter. i have had it come undone like twice but that was when it was new, hasn't happened since but i have it pretty tight.

It only unbuckles when the bottome strap is done up TOO TIGHT. You won't have the same thing happen to you if you leave the bottom strap done up but NOT TOO TIGHT. It's not an issue anyway when it comes off, you can clip it back on straight away whilst riding.

Don't strap to the spreader bar, like the others said just reverse the buckle. I did it the day I got it and have never had any drama's.

Yea tried reversing it but find it easier to get it on/off without the clip.
Had a go at clipping it back on while riding ended up with the kite in the drink.
Don,t really need it as a quick release, so all is good.
I,m still really happy with it cause it doesnt ride up at all and the knife might come in handy one day.
