I like this format. Especially the medal races will be heaps of fun to do and watch.
Good step towards the Olympic format for 2016.
The format looks really good. The idea obviously is trying to incorporate slalom aswel as windward lewards. I'm down for that but a 12 minute race....that not even a sprint race. It leaves absolutely no room for error. At least in a 30-45 min race 1 mistake doesnt mean the end of the race. There is no way of a come back in a 12 min race. Let alone the 5 min medal race! We are trying to meet half way with sailing right? The length of this proposed race is a drag race and 100% speed not necessarily smarts, don't get me wrong I'm all for speed but there has to be some smarts incorporated. Needs to be some emphasis left on picking wind shifts, up and down wind crossing and general race or fleet management.
