i am looking at getting into the slalom board design. i currently have an airush sector 52 v1. love the freeride aspect but want more performance. I want to feel the drive off the fin more, more speed, and that foiling effect.

i am looking at 2 different boards right now. the Aguera sl60 and the temavento 625.

alex is recommending 28 cm meanline fins while temavento recommends 36/34 tectonics. both boards look great, but i am leaning towards temavento. the aguera sl60 is said to be able to be edged on the windward rail so ease of use is better while temavento recommends 0 cant fins so, i guess it is liking to be ridden more like course race design. Jimmy at temavento says it is much easier to ride than a rc70 and faster as well downwind.

i guess i am looking for some feedback on the dynamics of these two setups and how the performance will be different in regards to:

chop handling
top speed
general riding comfort/ease of use
foiling effect
wind range

i have never ridden these types of boards before so i have no frame of reference for how these different variables in board/fin design will change the performance.

any input is greatly appreciated!
