My older ram air kite gets waterlogged fast with rain or a crash ... Any feedback on using either 303 fabric guard v 303 aerospace protectant v nikwax tent spray to add some water repellants without adding too much weight? Any feedback on success or otherwise of these products really appreciated, or better alternative!

Threads at kf on the topic.... IIRC weight gain is minimal and extends the life nicely.
I think the best result was from dissolving silicon RTV in something like acetone and spraying it on...?
Nikwax was the easiest solution for reasonable results...
How about bog-standrad Scotchguard? Strange, but I was posing this very same question yesterday. Will send an email to Ozone.
A few months ago i used this the results were really good, kite felt really crispy and new after the application plus it was prob a little better to get off the water when it decides to go for a swim... Chrono V2UL. i use two bottles I from Kathmandu store about $30 each

Great question with a lot of ideas and suggestion in the KF forums, as Kami said.
I've used ScotchGuard but it's rather thin and the coating does not last more than a few weeks. So yeah I've been using NikWax and it's fantastic.
