Hi Guys,

Just recently decided to try the race scene out and was wondering if you race guys meet up/train at certain areas?? I live just outside Freo and would be interested to meet people already doing this.

Cheers

mate, awesome that you are trying out the racing. however we are not that organised yet for regular sessions. I would say your best bet is going to Melvill around 4-7ish each arvo and you will start to meet the regulars. cheers

Hi,
I've setup a Google Group for kite racing with the idea it's an easy way to notify all, whenever anyone is keen to race eg Wednesday night 5-530.. at Coogee, River, or even Hillary's

We only need an upwind and bottom marker and a start line on the beach..

I intend to notify whenever we hit the water to build the race momentum.

We are not going to receive the support from local sailing clubs like Sandringham Vic, The club is very supportive of kite racing and hold Friday afternoon sailing (with support boat) until 8pm followed by drinks in the club. Steve Dark WAKSA President has and is trying but very difficult.. so we'll have to go it alone.

If you are interested to join the group send me an email and I'll include you on the group emails.

I'd like to start racing on a regular basis once our new boards arrive. This time of the year is great for racing as the seabreeze's have been lacking somewhat in consistency and strength.

See you on the H2O
