This video has two transitions from upwind to downwind, followed by some slow/long jybes. When I change from upwind to downwind, I first get my weight onto the board by twisting by front foot onto the board and put my foot hard into the rear strap. I have also loosened the rear strap a little to help this. I then do an agressive downloop, that you can see with the first transition. This gives a amazing increase in board speed and is a great feeling. All the jybes on this clip are with downloops. I generally aim the board to follow the kite through the downlooop.

this is great... i've seen many tacking videos but not one that was showing jibing... to me this is actually much harder maneuver to figure out... tacks are quite easy on a race board, except when overpowered... jibing on the other hand presents a problem as kite looses some power... i also use downloop to get extra power, but have a problem to jibe quickly enough before power goes down... than i end up just standing up on a very wobbly board, especially when chop is up... in light wind i usually end up falling off the board

You might need more power through the jybe. You could try:

Use longer lines - eg - 35m. This will help the most.
Do a longer, slower/deeper downloop. Aim for the downloop to miss the water by a few meters and as you come up the upstroke, leave the kite come up at less an angle through the power zone, generating power all the way.
At the dead downwind point - spend as little time as possible with the board pointing here. Start of jybe can take time and keep speed, but when the board is pointing dead downwind and about 10 deg either side of dead downwind you will have no power and loose speed. When get to this point - push hard on the turning side of board to get through this bit quickly. Then once through can take time again with slow continuous upstroke.
Watch the kite the whole time and let legs take care of themselves.

thanks... i believe i'm taking my eyes off the kite glancing at my feet - most likely the biggest problem. i'm using 32m line mainly for the downwind portion.. hate to loop with short ones... gotta put more time into practicing this part, i'm sure it will come to me just like the rest

had a session today and after watching your video and nailed every gybe, had a blast, really got a lot out of the video so thanks a ton. still have a lot to do on the tacks but getting a lot more. down looping was the key and transferring my old back foot directly into the front strap really helped. can't wait for tomorrows session.
