Love down-wind wave runs.
Wind 10-14 knots. This run using Maribou2 6m kite with 1050 Sq foil.
Speed range 15-20 Km/hr max sub 30Km/hr.
Because I can work across the waves (in low wind have to - keeping lines tight-ish) getting over-taken by down-wind paddle foilers.
Fun time of year, storm fronts to gentle sea breezes.
Season greetings
Cheers

Good to hear someone else is into this.
My setup is a 7.2 aspect 1100cm2 foil and a 4m Gin Marabou2
Can't wait to get out of Sydney over the Chrissy break to get into the swell playground, rather than Botany Bay chop.
Parawing adventure is next... won't have to worry about maintaining tight lines
Hi Nathan,
Yes I enjoy the bigger rolling swell from a few days of consistent wind. Have to get well out beyond the nets to run one wave for long - the depth means the wave is touching the bottom and straightening towards the beach.
The wind this way is often light 80+% well under 20knts - so kite foil is it.
The smaller the kite the better I like the maribou but it's a trade off better upwind but worse drift compared to FS peaks.
No wing ding happening along this area - occasionally you'll get a deep enough gutter for close shore foil start - but rare, with an open beach, get bashed in the surf trying to get out once the wind is up.
I do wing in sheltered zone (Golden Beach) but don't enjoy it so will be trying parawing too. My thinking ATM is a small ish parawing and a foil drive combo aka Hydro Gav (on youtube). I have recently picked up a pump oriented foil. - The down wind paddle foilers have some very hi Aspect foils.
Good luck with the break.
Cheers
