Hi,
just recently picked up a sector V3 60 and need a few tips re foot position and jibes.
tried it for first time today with my 11 Edge, only about 9 - 10 knots, (see wind graph above 1400 to 1530 hrs ) needed to pump a few Viagras into the Edge to get it up
Pretty amazed to get the sector planing in such light winds but noticed it was a bit "loose" in the tail when I edged ? But iit really screams upwind even with me having no idea on a race style board ( yes I know it's not a real race board)
whats the best technique re foot pressure and how to jibe
its gonna be a fun summer on this combo
cheers

Great little board and heaps of fun!!!
Get the weight off your heels as quick as you can after getting going, point your toes as well.... this will help you get the board flatter and off the windward edge.
If you can see how much you can ride the board on the leeward rail as a challenge :)
These board, the faster you going the more stable they'll be with the gybes so get stuck, let it rip and scare the hell out of yourself and you have a blast on your new board!!! Enjoy ![]()
surfer62 i think you are running the 4 fin config correct ? If you bought it off puppet .
I would suggest sourcing a rear fin and running it in 3 fin mode . WIll be much easier to gybe that sucker .Andy's tips are pretty spot on . Keep the legs bent during the gybe . Power through the gybe with a downloop and keep your board speed up .

Yep, that's the one, just got given 3 centre Tuttle fins from a windsurfer, about 3 inches longer than the front fins on the sector, did want to try the 3 fin setup, as I got 3 foiled centre fins to play with was thinking about cutting one down or will the extra inches be ok ? Cheers

Thanks Andy, no one in these parts have tried the race style boards, in fact the Sector is the first one I've even seen, so your tips are gold, cheers

give airborne a call in WA and see if they can still source the third fin for the sectors . I think about $80 . Comes with two blanking plates to replace the two rear fins .
in regards to riding it well i always rode it with a single rear strap as i found that to be the best balance between riding an edge and riding it flat . The sector does like to be ridden with a little bit of edge and not totally flat .
