yes damo , pete was saying last night there was enough wind to start the race but many could not make the top mark .
Tough to choose a kite size when looking at forecast v on the beach
Tough to lay a start line
Tough to get the top buoy in the right place
More peps didnt start or finish today because of time running out/being under powered etc
Regardless off all that the top guys always find a way to get around without a fuss
Todays forecast and actual, scheduled start for midday with a 3hr window for our races
race 7 winds average was 3-7knts. Most people on 17-19m kites. However, only Florian completed the race on his 13m EDGE!
i got tangled at startline of that race and watched most of it from the beach. I could not believe how he did it..
the conditions here have been very bad. Gusty, Shifty, current, seaweed and mostly super light winds.. A bit of a repeat from last years Sail Melbourne.
Looks promising for medal races on Sunday. Hot 25knts Northerly.
See what happens
A few pics, FB tells me you dont need FB to see them when using this link;)
