Hey so im still saving up for a race board as some of you may know and i have been keeping an eye on seabreeze etc. and talking with some people. There are a few around and my budget is really tight. Ive got it down to a few options.
theres an ASV board for sale that i really like the look of, hard to find any good info on them but seems like a great board and has ristas, 2013 board. but adam koch didnt ride one even though hes sponsored apparently!? but he has a little more riding on board selection than i do. being in the top few and all.
Then there are the north boards. most are 2012 and one thats 2013 but i think it looks to still be a 2012 board...?) www.seabreeze.com.au/Classifieds/Kitesurfing-Race%20boards/~a17hx/2013-North-Race-Ltd-69-189-cm.aspx?ref=r
not certain if anyone can confirm for me?? ^
north seem to be pretty well known, common however some have had build quality problems.
there are a few other norths for cheaper but with standard fins however all are around 700-900$$
then i noticed KP are selling a 2012 RRD k race for 750 without fins. so with fins would probs be out of my budget but still an option.?
I understand fins are important, more so later down the track but id rather get a good deal now with good fins hence i like the ASV option at this stage. any comments will help.
Cheers guys
There are some guys on ASV boards in OZ and they all seam to like them, build quality seams good, haven't ridden one myself though
Cant talk of the RRD.
If your looking at a north board give Dave a call from www.kiteandsup.com.au
They have one with rista fins that could be in your budget range.
Keep in mind new rista fins start at 650 plus shipping![]()
I dont think there are any brands worth buying their standard fins, so make sure you get something better
They are easier to ride and faster.
yeah ive been talking to dave a bit about boards however the ASV seems to be a good option also. pretty sure ive narrowed it down to the north and asv but saw the rrd board for pretty cheap today and it made me think. itll probs just come down to the better board/fin/bag combo i can get.
cheers for the help
