Kite racing included in 2012/2013 ISAF international racing series schedule:

At ISAF Sail Melbourne December 2012:

120 Male kite race
80 Female kite race

both Male /female with 11 -16 races scheduled from 2nd to 8th December 2012.

Things are getting very organised!

Some of the shops down there seem to be confused about how this is going to happen, I hope they can co-operate and assist the Sandringham Yacht club to pull off a good race series.

Not sure what there is to be confused about, good luck to the ones that arent

I think a turnout of around 30 is not out of the question as all the people that only got boards early this year will be more confident plus cheap flights to Melbourne plus it will now be in the eyes of the Australian sailing community so a potential new group of people to be interested in one of the fastest forms of sailing around a course (if there is wind)!

finally the NOR is out.
I know that some of the top international racers will venture to Melbs for this event.
Looking forward to it should be a top event.

Example of wind lastyear (26/12 SSE 17-22 kn) ,(27/12 S/20-25kn),(28/12 S 16-19kn),( 2/1/13 S 18-23 KN) this is seabreeze ,comes in 2-3 pm Hope this helps

I thought the RSX windsurfers were still competing at this event, looks like they are missing from the NOR!
