Ozone are getting right into racing eh?

Race bar, race bridle set, race line set.

Wouldn't it be nice to be sponsored and have 3 new edges with all of the above?

They don't show what happens to the end of the trim line, does it just flap around or is it fixed?

What is the purpose of the 2 to 1 trim system? Does anyone know if the North Team riders have a similar custom setup?

looks like 4:1 , its 2:1 doubled up with another 2:1 in series making it 4:1,( cascading )

clean looking set up.

Most pro racers are using a custom version of this trim strap. Most of the American guys are calling it "the down haul"

Having the "down haul" allows you to react to all of the small gusts without needing to change you body position by leaning in and thereby reducing the amount of power that you can hang onto. On a race board you are always trying to ride with as much power as you can so not having to lean in to push the bar out or reach the normal trim strap is a big advantage around a race course.

If it is set up properly it also gives you greater control over the angle of attack in your kite. Which helps heaps in very light wind but you need to know what you are doing to take advantage of that.

I think it's harder to set it up nice then it is to use it..
You just have to be good at rising one handed :)
Everything as what Damo wrote above..

I have just changed my bars over to the new Ozone racebar & is very nice setup. Much smoother than I expected and just right amount of depower available. Also the length is spot on - doesn't get wrapped around things.

Archie is this an upgrade kit or are they complete new bars? I agree they look sweet. I'd think that there shouldn't be any increase in depower it's just longer to allow for the extra cascade. It would change the whole dynamic of the kite to add or take away depower. Is the extra length in the centre lines just accounted by an added strop on the outter lines hence they whole line length would be say 40cm longer?

It is a kit with Bar, trim set up, safety and lower section to attach to steering lines. It doesn't come with lines. You move your lines across from your current bar. The lengths are all correct so you can just move current ozone lines across.

Actually have slightly more depower than standard setups - and this comes in very useful when over powered on beam or broad reach when you are wanting to not hit something!

Yes - Mauritius! . Raceboard with me and it travelled well. Can use it here, but need to wait for higher side of tide.

The end is not fixed and has no ball or webbing or anything that would create weight and increase the risk of a tangle with any other part of the bar. Even the rope used is especially chosen for the way it grips in the cleat and the way it behaves at speed. The rope and end is usually left on top of the bar within easy reach for the constant trimming that race board riders need.

Some pics of what you get when you buy the new ozone race bar. Used for about 9 sessions - including periods both under and over powered and happy with the setup.
