Hi,

Just wondering what the best location on lake macquarie/ Tuggerah lakes would be for a reaceboard newbie?

Previously been to canton with the twin tip but think there might be too much weed?

Hey mate,

You could try Dobell park at Wangi, or Marmong point!

Depends how confident you are with self launches and lands (mainly in water). Can go at Warners Bay but just be careful with road, powerlines, etc. nearby. Imagine you could also go Valentine, Green Point, Belmont Slips, Swansea Coop but each will have different launches and coop isn't ideal because of shallow water.

One of the good things about a raceboard is you can pretty kite anywhere you like especially in the lake where it is often shallow enough to easily do a water launch and land close to shore.

Is Canton the spot near tuggerah sailing club? If so perhaps the weed would be better the more upwind you go, if not just use it to practice your tacks and tack each time you feel a big chunk.
