For all kite racing at Sandringham Yacht Club, including sail Melbourne. The club has a set of numbered shirts that will be worn by each competitor. This is in accordance with the USAF recommendations for kite racing that where released earlier in the year.

The shirts will need to be returned as they belong to sandringham yacht club.

Can I suggest making up a number for registration and one will be allocated to you at registration.

Just went to register to save 100 bucks but looks like we need to be a member of an affiliated club of YA :(

Is this correct?
or is there a work around till we know what club we will be racing with locally

For those of you who havent registered for sail Melbourne you best do it before end of month otherwise entry goes up $100

If registering to compete for Australia you will need to enter a YA membership number.
I tried entering different numbers no number, even a real number but it wont let you progress if it ain't right.
This is something we will need to do for racing anyway so I though I might aswell get the silver membership card.
Only problem is I was told by my local yacht club this arvo that YA renew their membership 1st of next month
So I am representing PNG until I get my 2013 YA membership in the near future, then change my country later as you can log on and edit your profile.

And to make it even easier you will also need the AKSA insurance details below to enter.
Insurance Company: QBE
Policy Number: 38A218340PLB
Expiry Date: 01/11/2012
Public liability cover: $10,000,000

And Kiting has the most registrations so far out of all the classes

Hey guys you can join royal brighton for 200 and get all the races there for free
at the General committee last night the following motion was passed
"THAT RBYC WILL OFFER A $200 MEMBERSHIP FEE FROM 1 SEPTEMBER 2012 TO 30 JUNE 2013 AS A SPECIAL KITEBOARD INTRODUCTORY MEMBERSHIP OFFER"

If a fob key with no credit is desired this will attract a $30 key cost

The SYC offer of $150 only covered from Sep to Mar ours covers a nine month period and after a couple more races under our belt and if the support is there we can run races through to June on our Calender

Lady and gentlemen we can now go for broke and get these people in
Can we start a data base of Kiter's so we can send a regular email newsletter to these people
and start a targeted recruitment drive

The committee mentioned we need a small RBYC kiteboard tent as a base station on the beach to get a heads up presence

A quick get together on Wednesday night in the committee room to get ourselves set for the future and lock in our teams will be good

Any thoughts welcome and thanks for the great support in getting to this stage

Cheers
Don Blanksby
