....so the Hydrofoil Pro Tour has kicked off today in La Ventana, Mexico and I thought Id kick off a thread for anyone in the SB community interested in following and discussing the tour.
The Pro Tour is in an "open" development class (same as IKA Kitefoil Gold cup) that allows prototype foils and prototype kites to compete. This is the main point of difference to the IKA "Formula Kite" hydrofoil series (born out of the old raceboard class) which is for regulated & registered equipment, but offers a world championship title (Maxime Nocher is the 2016 Mens Champion and Daniela Moroz is the 2016 Womens champion, & Rolex Yachtswoman of the Year). Formula Kite is the series that is expected to move to a one design format for possible inclusion in the 2020 Olympics as a sailing discipline.

Great pic of Olly Bridge killing it over the first 2 days of racing. Interestingly he is using a version of the North click bar along with a cleat delower to give him better fine tuning... Best of both worlds.
