Crowded mark roundings?

This is from a respectful windsurfer who never kited:

How in the world do you guys not crash into each other at the marks while racing?

From my completely ignorant perspective I am totally amazed that there isn't carnage every few seconds.

When I practice buoy roundings windsurfing with my buddies I am always wary of crashing. I just can't imagine doing this while hooked to a giant kite - not to mention on a foil!

basically just some kite flying skills and the desire not to crash into each other ending yours and their race and possibly the next races while u untangle your kite and lines from each other..

There is crashes regularly thou..
