I bought a second hand foil and it had a minor crack around the rear wing, I sanded it down filled it with this mesh stuff and then use Araldite over it.
I sanded it down again to make it a bit smoother, my question is if I sand it down more it will remove some of the mesh. So should I leave it the way it is and if so do you this this will have an effect on the ride? Or how else should i repair it?

Try to get more fibers(carbon or glass) around the repair with epoxy resin, then fill the holes with a sand-able filler that is easier to sand than epoxy. You want to keep most fibers and not sand through them other wise you sand the strength away.

Yeah it is, I lost it today in the sea though..... Not sure what I hit as I was about 50-100m out and the mast is snapped near the bottom.....Oh well.....

This is plastic drum season for port Phillip bay. Part filled with water they float semi submerged. Had a couple of near misses and clips with the Kraken over the last years. Always start of summer. Usually those blue 60 litre ones and usually near shipping channel north of Faulkner beacon.

What I think has happened just looking at it is that the front screw came out and ripped it out, as it looks like it was pulled out from the front to the back.
