Anyine used or know how a BWS nois would go racing, or what the charestics of a BWS Noise are in comapison to a goor race kite eg. Ozone edge, liquid force NRG.
from what i hear the BWS noise kite is fast enough for racing however as it is made for wave sailing it does not fly as far forward in the wind window as say you ozone or airush VXR.
You could get away with it and still point high and fast around the track however if you had a different kite you could point higher and your vmg would be improved.
I had a go on the an 8m noise and a cabrinha raceboard, seemed to go alright however i wasnt racing so there was no benchmark.
Give it a go if you want to save some dollars ![]()
I think it is ok for racing, specially in low wind. I wond the Vic titles on a 13m + a surf board. I am 100kg and it was blowing around 18knots
hi mate,
for Racing i recommend Racing specific kites like the 3 top race kites- Crossbow, Dyno, Edge or at least a high aspect kite.
A low aspect kite like the BWS Noise will not be very good for racing as its not designed for it and you will not be competitive!
So if you seriously wanting to get into racing i would not waste my money and time on going racing with anything but a dedicated race kite!
sure Andy they will be pretty good. It would be good if you can try a few kites on a raceboard to get a feel for what works good for you.
Hi Andy, let me know when you get your race gear a few of us guys at Tannum Sands would be keen to pop up to Eliot heads for some racing.
