About the only thing that removes cyanoacrylate (superglue) is acetone, and acetone and plastic really don't get along well together. I'd be looking at replacing the lens if you can.
Reversing cameras aren't really that expensive, unless it's oem...
thanks, it's an el cheapo one so no issue with replacing it.
Just wondered if there was a trick, tried soaking it with wd40.... no result
hardwares do sell tubes of superglue remover right next to superglue along with gloves sometimes hahaha, it sort of works i have tried it dont think it will give you the result you want as it tends to smear, same as acetone!
alright Pweedas, I noticed that the camera would sometimes fog up, especially aftter being thoroughly washed down....
Thought I would seal it properly (not the correct term indeed), sealant around the casing, but the bright idea was to run a little drop of superglue around the lens.....
shaky hands and very bad eyesight and voila !
All lenses, even expensive ones will fog at times ....Something to do with temperature change and humidity...
Nothing to do with lens quality....Seabreeze has some serious camera guys to ask,...Sorry , can't help with the glue.
Just buy a new one, you'll never look back!
or dont do anything .........because you'll never look back .............
just because it has some glue on it does not mean there won't be a usable image for reversing....photographers smear Vaseline over lenses to get that soft focus result. It removes the wrinkles on the face but still the face is there.
