Tragic, the freakest accident.
Thoughts are with his family RIP so sad
Will miss him slapping the poms around the oval in the next ashes, and that's from a pom, very sad news
Tragic, the freakest accident.
Agreed. It's a terrible day for his family (not to mention all the other families who have had people who passed away today) and Australian cricket.
You would have thought it's possible in the AFL or NRL but not in a gentlemen's sport.
It'd be fitting if they make him the 12th man for the India series.
Hell, I was never a Hughes fan but just thinking of the gut tearing decision that family had to make to turn off the life extending machines just makes me cry inside. Who knows what he could have been as a cricketer but really who cares about his sport when it seems that everyone who knew him thought of him as a great fella.
Geez, life can be so hard!!
Just watched Michael Clark press conference, that was tough for that guy to front at such a time. Well done Mike, a true mate and skipper.![]()
A terrible day, month, year for cricket world wide.
RIP Hughsey.
