I would sorely love a s7, but they are expensive! My nexus is dead and the new ones arent as good value and arent as well made. Anyone suggest a handset or any deals with the s7? I have a work sim so I cant really get a plan, and its a lot of coin if you loose it. I want everything the s7 has (good camera, expandable mem, android)
Thinking of going the kogan route. Do they have all the correct bands?

Got the Nexus 5x recently. If you wait it out google do 100 dollars off every couple of months. Delivered to the door in country WA in about 4 business days!
To me the phone is fine, and for 550 with the discount pretty good value.

S7 has wireless fast charging which is a very good thing

If you want to pay a lot less have a look at Huawei, they are pretty premium these days and the P9 has Leica lenses

Happy with this one. I wouldn't spend more on a phone. No way.
But I must say the S5's camera is better. Missus got S5.

i shouldn't. i have a work provided smart phone (windows)
but i liked having a good one very much. and windows is the pits. anyway the missus has lost her beat up s3 so i figure i can give her my work one and get one for her that will be mine. We don't have a portable camera so the phone will be it and i figure i don't pay for calls and i can claim on tax. Still lot to shell out on something i could drop or loose..

I had an S5 and an S6. Got the Nexus 5X now and I prefer usability, no bloatware, google simplicity, but durability feels more flimsy compared to the samsungs. The only thing about the nexus is it takes several attempts to fingerprint unlock, but never had this on the samsungs so can't compare.

When I compare the pics on my phone with my missus's S5.. I know where her extra $300 went for.

+1 for the Moto G3.

You get Andoid updates way before most people, plus they take awesome photos.

I had those problems at the start. I redid the finger a few times and works great now. Try heaps of angles. I think I have two finger 'profiles' for my usual finger, and one for all the others.

Had a nexus 5 for a while but the coverage was dismal and couldn't hold reception for any length of time, (antenna?).Bit the bullet and updated to an s7 and couldn't be happier. Easy to use, easy to navigate through the beginners stage. Great camera too.

Been through this today....ended up replacing my iPhone 4 with a Samsung Galaxy J1/6 ! Galaxy my Uranus! One small step back in man kind and my self!
should have went the iPhone 5s for $699 at the post office rather than the Samsung $250 from HN what a dump day!

Was in the Vodafone store at Clarkson today and as it's quiet they are offering the S7 free on the $70/6gb plan for the next 2 weeks. No idea if its just that store or a nationwide special. Saves about $10p/m.

I think telstra and optus are still doing free GearVR's though
