I got a couple of ideas which I think could be great as an app .
But I want to make money out of them so how does a luddite go about this.
I see sights how to make apps etc etc but after going down the path of sending inventions off &getting ripped off I'm wondering how you go about it and protect your idea last time it failed because I didn't take out a provisional patent on the idea &even though I thought I was covered by a confidentially clause it was only the copy right of the idea name I gave not the actual idea itself .after 12 months. They stole it But the copy wasn't as good I did keep a total winner in the design back &also as I also understand that the idea is the simple part its the marketing that makes or breaks an idea.it wasn't pushed so not enough units sold production stopped but i did see it for a couple of weeks on the shelves at big w
Lets be honest I've got a couple of ideas but as a piss poor computer bloke what stops some red hot programmer stealing my idea &getting it listed better? etc etc so I just fade away .like last

Same boat as me buddy.

What I have recently learnt - It's a good 6-12 months of development. Costs can range from 5k to 200k. Depending on the scale. I also don't want to risk a lot of money on a high risk investment.

Apple can say NO and not plug your app! Keep in mind that every time there is an operating system updates it can cause issues with your code.

I don't want to pay big dollars to execute my idea- and I don''t have the availability (time) to learn/become boss @ two different codes for Apple and Android.

If you wanted an app like instagram for example, a path you could take, is to purchase a clone app from India and have it re branded to suit your needs. Or you could learn the code. But yeah, time consuming. Instagram apparently only had 13 developers, which i found interesting at time of acquisition from facebook.

I think I will take the path to learn more code, but we are currently looking for ways to progress with our idea, knowing full well its high risk.

Another thing, try to keep it all a secret, once the cats out of the bag..... If its a good idea, someone will steal it.

Good luck.
