Please would you mind translating this question, or as Paulene once said, "please explain" . ![]()
Anything other than a Specialized Turbo Kenevo and you'll always be wondering how much better a Specialized Turbo Kenevo is.
Only downside is that you could pay somebody else to shuttle you up the hill everyday for 27 years and it'd still be cheaper.
If you don't mind ugly and German (so probably also quite hairy in the cracks and crevasses) then go Haibike and say Sam Pilgrim sent you.
Although the sensible answer here is Merida E600 (or E400 if you are a Trance rider and don't know what the gnar is)
But if you are a snob about Merida then pay the extra money for a Norco Sight VLT with none of the benefit except having no Merida decals for all your latte loving Sunday ride groupies to scoff at.
If you hate talking to sales-people in shops then go for a Marin Alpine Trail E.
Then again, if you wanna keep the Trance then why not get a Trance E bike ? That way they will feel the same when you swap between the two.Below is classified information for those who know only :If you want it all, and you want to be in the cool club then there is only one - the Commencal Meta.
... dual susser e mtb ...
Why not call it "full squish" and then you could get a Yeti and be a total douche.
If you're a Gaint brand then go the emtb.
I have a Trek Rail 7 2020 and it's awesome. I got it as I go out of rhythm (afib) so if I get fatigued then I use higher power mode.
Before emtb my last bike was YT Jeffsy 27.5 wheels and was awesome before issues.
The yt brand makes great bikes and as direct sales you get great spec for dollar spent but at moment supply is a problem, even bike shops you have to pre order.
As much as I'm getting medication and eventually get corrective procedure, Once you ride an e
mtb you won't go back![]()

I think you need to decide what you mean by a E-MTB
You can either go a hub motor with a throttle
Or a Pedelec. These have no independent throttle the amount of electric assistance is calculated by the amount of power you push through the pedals.
Both have there own pros and cons
A example of a hub motor that I have ridden is the Stealth B-52
stealthelectricbikes.com/assets/ts/hpb/B52.pdf
If you went a hub motor you can find quality conversions that will work on your current bike. This would be your most cost effective option
The Pedelec bike I have ridden is a early Specalized Turbo Kenevo
www.specialized.com/au/en/turbo-kenevo
Most manufacturers are doing something similar
You can spend ridiculous amount of money for these
I find Pedelec to ride more like a bicycle and less like the motorbike feel of the hub motors provide
I feel the Pedelec's are more balanced than the Hubs with the motor in the wheel
Most Pedelec's are speed restricted to 25 KPH( PS a they will go faster than 25 KPH but motor provides no power to the wheel) and there is a slight delay between pushing on the pedal and the motor suppling the power
If I was going to spend the amount of money that a Pedelec cost I would rather get an electric motorbike like a Surron light bee

Or my number one preference a OSET 24 Racing

If you don't mind ugly and German (so probably also quite hairy in the cracks and crevasses)
I think they shave now , on average , since maybe , the Second World War. Never seen those pesky Germans as ugly .
I also think the poms shower now and have dental hygiene. I also think the poms and Germans had and have similar smoothness and hygiene.
Your showing your age.
^ I know your game.
You are trying to get me to google "ugly hairy Germans". I dare not, for I have heard what sort of things can occur on the internet.
Next you'll be trying to tell me that Kiwis these days are all sober and that Aussies are now engaged in paid employment.
pfft. as if.

Me and the missus are thinking e scooters to get back from the pub. It's only 2 mins away.
I use e-skateboard, fits under your barstool and easy for on the train as well. I assume I'm quite good at riding it after a few drinks, woke up on the lawn the other week but apparently had got home ok, catseyes will fk your day though

No.. not at all.. I hate jetski's but ride my Merida e160 8000 every day on tough technical trails with big hills.. It lets me ride like a teenager at 65 and without the knee pain but still gives a great workout.. I've been riding mountain bikes since they were invented (50 years ago) and I've paid my dues in blood sweat and tears and my new ebike gets me back on the trails more than ever.. Life is good.

+1 for the Surron electric motorbike option.
You can still stay fit and have fun on your original treadly or really tear it up on the Surron.
Surron has been one of my best purchases ever.
eMTB would have made me soft They regenerate power on the downhills. There is a road legal version of the surron for $7K. Newer version "sting" coming v soon
I also use my Surron to comfortably haul 20-odd km of gear into the bush for remote rockclimbing, canyoning and skiing adventures. If you keep the speed under 30kmh then you'll get up to 55km range on rough up and down firetrails.
This sounds like an ad hey?

I did jointly own a jet ski (for a few years) for tow ins far away from anyone and are useful for rescue . Generally they are riden with no concern for others and no perifial vision ![]()
