I'm looking at an old hayden racing ski tomorrow to pick up for a couple of $100.
Apparently it's about 10 years old. What sort of things should I be looking at?

Just going to use it for river paddling mainly, just to mix up the training.

Maybe we could make a thread for all older kit that people might be looking at buying.
Things to be aware of, what works or doesn't work. that sort of thing.

Thanks in advance

hope you have good balance cause they are tippy buggers.
have one myself.
look for cracking where the hull and top join
rusting on the rudder cables but all things are pretty easy to repair with a ding repair kit
they a good fast solid ski but a little heavy compared to a modern carbon/kevlar
