looking at buying one of them kindles.which one would u recommend? there a few types and i can't decide ![]()
I have a Kindle Fire, it's been reliable and enjoyable for almost two years, it's good when you travel, takes up a lot less space in the house then a library of books and a lot of the books on Amazon are well priced.
My Mrs was wanting one so she tried a kindle at the local library as well as an iPad with the same books on it.... She chose the iPad in just a few seconds of use.
got a phone samsung or Ipoo? no need for kindle
You probably haven't used one then. The screen is much better for reading from than a smartphone.
I have a few android tablets, an iphone, and 2 kindles. The kindles are much nicer to read from.
Proper Kindle (not Fire) is as close to a real book as you can get. I love mine and although I have several tablets, will never read a book for an extended period of time on them. The Kindle is like paper and does not tire the eyes. Only downside is that you need a reading light at night due to no backlight, but this is a good trade off for eye relief. Mine is the one with keyboard and no touch so cannot comment on the difference.
I always preferred real books and preferred purchase over taking out from library, but I have now fully converted to kindle only for novels etc. No good for graphic content i.e. pictures and diagrams, but the best thing for reading.

Love mine, back light is fantastic. Don't bother with the fire model...may as well get an iPad or the like.
I have been using a Nook for a couple of years, easy on the eyes and backlit.
When I researched I found the Nook was the best screen & Tablets etc were hard on the eyes.
Get your books from the local library for free, they last 20 days then vanish ![]()
The sony eBook reader is also a great choice.
eBooks in the epub format are readily available for free on that kickass website.
Hey El tubo. My wife has an e-book reader and would love to know what web site you are talking about. She prefers books, I suppose being a librarian does that, but still enjoys using the reader as well.
Hi there
I use kickass torrents for all my downloads,
It does take a while to search for the right book in the right format,
but there is some gold there.
Regards
You can also search for some really good audio books.
they are good for a follow up to reading the novel,
or for that book you are not quite interested in.

As stated the paperwhite has its own backlight, which is fantastic for reading at night. It is far superior as a reading medium compared to a tablet due to the lack of glare and reflection. Lightweight and holds up to 1000 books.
The other benefit over readers offered by Nook and Kobo and others, is that you have access to the largest bookseller in the world Amazon.
I am a voracious reader and never thought I would go electronic until I got a kindle paperwhite. can't go back now.
- backlit, so no issues with light
- screen is just like paper, even the texture
- its lighter than most books and all pads. Anyone who says use a normal pad is kidding themselves, that is just torture, both to the eyes and the arms...
- battery must last 24hrs or more of continuous reading between charges
both plus and con is that I buy like 10 books in advance that I want to read....
I do think the cost is a bit much though for most mainstream titles. It is not much less than the hard copy cost, and you can't resell it, can't pass it onto someone else, can't trade it for another book....
Top of the line one, Voyager I think it is. You can side-load all kinds of things too.
Paperwhite te has two generations, don't get the first one.
Battery life and screen quality blow tablets and phones away.
Just make sure that if you buy a 3- or 4G model, that it supports international "roaming", if you travel and expect to buy books overseas. The Jspa see Kindles only work... in Japan because **** you, round eye. Wifi is the safest option if you can tether through a phone...
Kindle to books is like mp3 to vinyls. The quality of the experience does not match. ![]()
Because dragging a diamond tip across etched plastic gives such detail compared to cold, perfectly silent 1s and 0s.
Total myth.
But that said a real book is so much nicer than a kindle. For sure. But if you're a traveler the Kindle paper-white is better than a bag of books. And the annotation feature is really cool. I find myself reading stuff I highlighted quite a lot.
