reasonably pain free but my bulge is pretty huge and probably going to cause me issues. Worried about lapodectomy in future. Anyone had this done and care to share thoughts?
First thing cut your carbs i.e. sugar intake added sugar products such as low fat meals . They all have high zugar. Cereals as well. Eat a **** load more vegetables that grow above ground. Research high fat and low carb diets. Walk more reduce sitting time. Sitting is also a killer. Eat fresh. Always and always always the knife should be last resort
Sorry dude I was off topic. You mean lapendectomy. Fark that is all I can say. Look for other alternatives. Surgeons will go for that cos it's money for them. Seriously research it first

i wasnt needing an operation for my back but it was restricting me and I tried this and definitely improved my back.
6-18 months of ongoing treatment and $600-$1,800 later depending the amount of sessions over time.
Plus going to a low sugar diet was another major improvement.
supposedly there is only 1g of sugar in a can of beer
I got to the point I had no choice but to go under the knife. Hadn't slept for weeks and the pain made life unbearable.
Surgery is always a risk but in my case worked a treat. Woke up from the op and the pain had been turned off, going strong 10 years later.
I don't believe most surgeons will operate unless absolutely nessacary but like anything shop around.
P.s I think the op cost me around 20 g all up over 10 years ago. ( but fark it was worth every cent )
At least it's not a dickectomy, something that Caitlin Jenner hasn't got the balls to get yet, he's still Bruce.
Is Kaitlyn really still attached to his auxiliary brain? What a fraud, I thought he'd had it lopped off!

Yeah, well then he can get a slipadictomy..

Nope, he's just having fun running around in women's dresses, underwear, and women's hormones only.
The only op he's had is a shave of his adams apple, not sure about the boobs though, either hormones or implants, but I think it's just hormones from the looks of those floppy bumps. But no matter what, in the long run, he/she will always have man hands and feet.
Sorry about the highjack, hope the back turns out okay.
I've had some big issues with my lower back
Thought I might have to have a fusion, but both neuro surgeons recommended not
The wife had to have a microdiscectomy
Approx 2 years ago
We were stunned how it suddenly arose
Gabriel lee gave her an honest assumption
Did a great job on getting her active again
If your going to get an op make sure you get the best ( especially on your back )
A good physio has given me a core strengthening regime , which has massively helped with mine
My Seabreeze alta ego refuses to get one.
My Seabreeze alta ego didn't know what a lapodectomy was.
I had an emergency microdiscotomy at L4-5 in 1998 after a disc ruptured. The result was excruciating pain and paralysis. There were pieces of disc broken off which jammed into the area where the splinal cord runs. The surgeon told me I was lucky not to have had permanent paralysis.
I had had problems with my back for years working with offset loads on my right shoulder. I was young and ignored warning signs and I paid the price. The medical advice I received was surgery was an absoloute last resort.
It took a lot of hard work and time to get back in shape after surgery. To begin with I couldn't lift a glass of water. I did laps in a pool for months to build up core strength again.
I have had to limit lifting to under 15kg and avoid twisting movements. I didn't windsurf again until four years ago. Initially impact really stirred the injury up. I now am able to wavesail again. I do get warning messages from my injury which is referred pain in my leg. I just back off.
I have found windsurfing has strengthened my core a lot. I have also lost 15kg which helps too.
I think decompressing the spine when there is a bulging disc is a good first step. Swimming will do it. Do core strengthening activity. Keep body weight at the correct level for your size. Don't lift heavy loads and avoid impact. Wear a tight waist harness to protect your back too.
I hope that helps you to make an informed decision about surgery.
