Robo vac... I thought wtf do I want with a stupid little vacuum w/ poor suction and a small bin. I was wrong, it cleans OK, but it cleans 2x a day all on its own. And while i have a normal vac, I'm always too busy/lazy to get it out, so I would only drag it out when the place was visibly dirty; now it's always tidy (bcos I don't want the vac getting stuck) and clean.

Doing its thing...

Is it like the Kreepy Krauly that keeps missing the same dirty patch on the bottom of the pool while rest of the pool gets cleaned five times?

A friend has one in her unit and likes it. Would you recommend one for a larger house? Can it really find it's way into all the rooms?

Not only does it miss the dirt patches in the pool it goes and hides in the corner and sulks. Quicker to spend 15 minutes to hand vac

Sennhiser wireless headphones!! (Bx ??? noise cancelling)
I didn't buy them in 2017 but 2010. I was only thinking how amazing these have been this morning and was thinking about posting it on here. I have literally gave these a hammering over the 7 year, daily running, covered in sweat, rain and never let me down. I throw them inn my pocket when traveling, sit on them, never broke. The battery still holds charge for over a week, no sign of slowing down.

I don't know if Sennheiser still make the model but I would buy another set in a heart beat, sooo impressed.

I got some Sony MDR-1000X noise-cancelling headphones in July and love them. Better than the Bose as far as I can tell. You can listen to in-flight movies with the volume on the 2nd lowest level and hear speech very clearly. The 'voice' function is very nifty too - just hold your right hand up near the earpiece and it continues to cancel out the jet engine noise but lets the air hostess's voice through loud and clear. They've been lasting a return trip to the USA on a single charge.

How do you know it's a good thing? Did you use it?

I bought a Garmin InReach Explorer+ It works pretty well. My missus could track me and we could send and receive texts from the top of mountains in the Himalayas.

Quite happy to never use it in my lifetime but it sure is amazing and reassuring to know we live in a country where no matter how remote you are help is a button push away.
