As the mainstream media is now reporting higher rates then ever of heart failure and heart attacks.
Maybe it would be a good time to discuss what you should do if you're experiencing one or you see a fellow waterman/ person experiencing one ? I think it's very important that we set out some seperate guidelines for windsurfers, foilers and kite surfers ?
Please discuss procedures and keep in mind these higher rates of death and heart failures in healthy people has absolutely nothing to do with the medical intervention that certain companies gained record profits from in the last year.
Hopefully the medical experts on here can prevent a few deaths at the beach! Nothing worse than going to a place of leisure and reminiscing on a death that could have been prevented/ helped with some information found on a water sports forum !

If you're alone and start to experience a heart attack, cough hard and continue very hard coughs, it can be just enough to keep you going until help arrives

When a kiter tells another kiter about getting boosted......

It may not mean what some people think

The doctor in the article fails to mention excess unbound iron, mineral imbalance and vitamin deficiencies.

Agree. Our bodies are complex biological structures, all manor of factors are at play contributing to its condition. Genetics, diet, occupation, psychological stress etc... With extreme sport athletes there was acknowledgement of an existing heart related issue. This would most likely have resulted in a pre-Covid study/database about this groups heart condition+physiology. Certainly it would be a good place to begin looking if you were investigating possible correlations between the recent Covid vaccines and heart attacks in athletes generally.
