The days of the uniparty may be numbered with One Nation doing so well in the polls.

Would be a good thing imo.

Didn't read the initial post but a uni party sounds awesome, was last century the last time I wore a toga and drunk from a keg simultaneously.

BTW Beerfest in Freo on the Saturday arvo was a blast. Ice cold midis flowed in the warm sun, great tunes and the happiest of crowds. Highly recommended for those who don't mind day drinking. Summer is off to a great start.

Isn't a uni party one that you have on your own?

You know, the ones where you organise a great party, invite loads of people, put up decorations and blow up dozens of balloons, then nobody turns up and you sit in the corner in the dark drinking whiskey and mumbling to yourself whilst rocking back and forth......

errr... I assume. I mean....that's not what I do..... I host greaaaaat par-ties, loads of people.....mmmm... mumble mummmble mummble...

I am a bit disappointed.

Disappointed with other people's parties.

When Pauline and Barnaby had their duo-party last night Pauline apparently cooked up a steak.

Why couldn't they have got Erin to whip up a love mushroom stroganoff for 'em both ?

Hanson is now the most popular political leader in Australia

I can't work out if that is the equivalent of being the smartest person in Heavyweather forums or if the entire country has gone troppo with the recent heatwave.

Have you ever been canvassed by a poller. Only people who's time is of little value stay on the line long enough to answer the questions. Reminds of the meme that shows 99.7% of people love filling out questionnaires.

I've been propositioned by a kiter many a time. But then who hasn't eh ?

So I did my own research. And it turns out the poller was one Gary Morgan, of Ray Morgan. And apparently Gary has his finger on the pulse of key issues...

www.roymorgan.com/about

..and the poll in question was 1400 people...which apparently represents a consensus of the opinion of 18 million. 20% of whom don't actually vote properly anyway even though they are legally obliged to....

So yep, maybes you'se are right. Pretty sure whenever I am asked my opinion I make sure I give the exact opposite opinion of whatever I beLIEve the questioner wants. It keeps life more interesting. Pretty sure if they had poled me (oh-er missus) I'd have told 'em I'm a sure vote 1 for either Bob Mad-Hatter or Lidia fruitcake Thorpe.

If the poll was undertaken by the cohort who said the last election was too close to call, I wouldn't be be reading a lot into it. Maybe time to slap a meme into the thread.
