I was in the shop the other day and I saw some fabric sofas that would like to have in my living room. I didn't buy it though because I didn't know how long they would last. While searching about this online I came across a blog ( www.surplusfurniture.com/blog/fabric-sofas-with-pets-and-kids/ ). The blog mentioned how safe it was to have pets and kids around the fabric sofa. I think that this might be useful since I have got both kids and pets at home. Do you think that fabric sofas are easy to maintain?
I am now 6 months free of a fabric sofa (thank you Jesus). The addictive properties of the fabric sofa are well understood, however are not spoken of in polite society. They are highly dangerous to children, and pets don't have the cognitive capacity to understand the cause effect continuum.
Whatever you do, don't buy a fabric sofa. It is far safer to swim with seals.
Don't have kids or pets in fact if you plan on having a root on it spray with scotch guard 4 hrs before .minimum.
You dont want a previous a wet spot nobody will believe it's scotch guard you just looking after a new lounge .Lol
Making kids and playing with the chicks puppies are more pleasant on a fabric sofa
more difficult to clean though
I'd recommend a latex sofa.
Unless its the middle of summer and you are sitting on it naked, you end up just sliding right off
Leather is the best, even better than the great north American Naga hide.
But I'd stay away from fabric, way too fragile, and it's terrible to live on if you are infirmed.
There was a story several years ago about a woman who was found living on her couch, waaay over-weight, and couldn't move. She had to be surgically removed from her couch due to her skin growing into the fabric.
What about an organic hemp fibre sofa made by transgender lesbians in a communist compound in Daylesford, VIC?
No seriously, you can't go past some good leather. But don't get aniline leather which is very delicate.

Those Naga's are a right pita to skin and tan too
