Was having a look at the Ultimate Waterman comp and some things didn't quite gel with me. One of those being the disciplines that are put up on offer. I would have expected tow-in surfing, kite surfing and windsurfing to be included and wouldn't have thought Canoe paddling and SUP endurance to have featured. Certainly not taking away from the value of the later sports, however
these come across to me as being more endurance based (then why not include open water swimming - for example).
Got me thinking as to what other sports could be included...deep water diving, spearfishing (unassisted), and watermen whom I would like to see in the line-up like Kauli Seadi. http://www.theultimatewaterman.com/disciplines/
Maybe these sports have been limited or included to suit the location??
Agreed.
Given the potential for hold downs in many sports, maybe freediving is right up there?
And of course surfing is the original....
^^ and if including kiting they may as well include the monkey bars. Seen the same tricks there.
Grow up.
Surfing
Open water swimming
Free diving/spearfishing
Those three would about cover it I reckon...would of liked top see someone like Mark Healy involved...lets face it if Lairds on board that its all about dollars for the sponsers not about working out who's the best...I mean foil boarding for ****s sake...who can be bothered
I'm f-ing going to take legal action. How can it proclaim to be 'ultimate' without Windsurfing? ![]()
Because without windsurfing it will fail and there wont be any more of them.
