I'd love a channel that features nothing but stories that inspire us and reassure us, and our children, that there are good things happening and good people in the world.
I reckon we could do with a thread on here that does much the same. Here's a starting point:
singularityhub.com/2016/06/27/why-the-world-is-better-than-you-think-in-10-powerful-charts/
I like the idea.
Here's a reason the world ain't that bad - spending the day with my family.
And I got waves to myself yesterday.
Took my daughter for driving lessons she drives better than my wife
Awesome. Perhaps the cycle is broken?
The future green Lets move with the times. Culling's not an option. I can work with JBS on this. Read the weather and the shart activity.No thanks required but 1/2 a twix tastes gud. ;-)
Bit like burying your head in the sand so you feel better
Well, according to that article I linked, bad news sells and humans are drawn to it. And for sure, there's some crappy stuff going on in the world, but there's some good stuff too...

Actually, you are very right about that. There are some very interesting facts and figures about violent crime 50 years ago compared to today. The awareness of violent crime is much much greater now, hence a skewed perception that WA is less safe, when it is far safer than it was by any statistical measure of violent crime. Of course back then it was three television stations and two daily newspapers. Now it's a bazillion tv stations, another zillion radio stations, umpteenth web pages/social media feeds etc.
I have my Media students right about this stuff.
Another beautiful thing in the world:
Osprey.
Good thing going on in the world:
The Olympics uniting people;
Roger Federer keeping on keeping on;
the sunset tonight and the Lightning right now.
