Just had to share this movie. "The hundred year old man who climbed out the window and disappeared " currently on Netflix.
I've watched it twice now and it's just a real hidden jewel. It starts off slow but really gets you hooked.
I read the book last year. The writer has a nice light style. He has written 2 further novels. I just did a quick search and found out that "The Girl Who Saved the King of Sweden" is in production. That contains the same kind of story as the hundred-year-old man. The other novel is "Hitman Anders and the Meaning of Everything". It is also pretty good light reading. Keep a copy in the bog or beside the bed.
I've seen that, it's a good movie, if you liked it you may also like one I came across called 'Emma's Bliss' it's sort of similar in that it has a slow but very intense and original story line, l loved it, also a fan of Hotel Newhampshire and Prince of Tides both books and movies just a very original story lines.
I just thought that The Hundred Year Old Man was a very funny movie and very different. I like movies that take you by surprise as you have no preconceived ideas about them
I saw your review and then watched the "101 Year Old Man" by mistake! ![]()

Will give the 100 years old a go next time I watch a movie...treat it like a prequel. Hopefully it will add some context.
Speaking of 100 year old men
