Wondering if anyone knows of a club that rents out surf ski storage on the coast around scarborough. Most slsc require you to be a life saver. I'm just after a convenient spot to store my ski so i can drop down before work and have a paddle.....?

Years ago, Ob. City had a store adjacent to the loading bay for staff to keep their surfboards, boogie boards, bikes and fishing gear [perks of working a stones throw from the beach]

Then it was needed by the smokers so they could have somewhere to suck on their coffin nails

When smoking was later banned in the premises, the bean-counters nabbed it for archive space.

With the changes of management, and a rebuild, it might be worth calling the hotel concierge to see if they got their surfboard storage room back - or contact Engineering / Security to see if any of the caged areas in the lower carpark are still there - and available for rent.

The gardener used to keep his surfboards in a seldom used storage space - [under the ramp leading from the top car park to the lower car park] until he was caught surfing on company time.

We [Engineering dept.] had several cages scattered around the lower car park for storing chemicals and building materials.
Since my time at Ob. City, there have been changes to the car park with water tanks and stuff installed, however, if these cages are still there - but no longer used, and the bosses are amenable - you might be able to rent some space for a donation to the staff party fund or whatever they call it these days.

Might be an idea to drive through the underground car park and check it out for the cages - it used to be that you had around 10 to 15 minutes grace before your parking ticket kicked in and you had to pay to get out.
