So I've seen antman and ironman 1 which were OK popcorn flicks, but i really struggle to give a f#@k about whether batman beats superman etc to the point i don't even pirate them. Scored free tickets to captain america and still i strugled with the concept of making time to turn up. Am i alone?

Superman for the win every day of the week and twice on Sunday. Everyone knows that.
Completely irrelevant anyway;
Jake The Muss would sort them both out.

I very rarely watch a movie (couple a year I might get towed along to watch) and the same for TV. Complete waste of time.
Usually in my shed tinkering, or out playing with my toys.

Nerds pay for movies on premier night. Everyone else started waiting for the dvd due to movie ticket prices...due to the nerds torrenting them... irony

just had the local video shop close this week , but not really a loss as I struggled to find a movie each time.
My daughter has Netflix so I went on that and found out why there were no movies at the video shop. then discovered that all her sisters were on her account to so I couldn't get on

No change in superhero movies for 50yrs. Boring.

Guardians Of The Galaxy was at least different. Good flick

Deadpool very different and trumps all of them....

Optus gave me 6 months free Netflix when I signed up for their NBN deal. My internet is just as slow as it was and I sucked anything worth watching off Netflix in a month.

Most of their movies I have already seen on Youtube.

So i ended up seeing the latest captain america flick -I was right... too much weights, not enough speedwork. For those who liked it-barman a round of milkshakes easy on the icecream. If Jakey turned up during the fight scenes those leotard wearing pussies would be cooking the man some ****ing eggs!

These Marvel and other superhero movies are hopeless. The storylines are non existent. From what I read there was a review embargo on the Batman vs Superman movie before it came out because the reviews were so rightly harsh. From what I heard Batman took a disliking to Superman because Superman smashed one of Bruce Wayne's properties while dealing with a criminal. However Batman doesn't mind destroying other peoples', most probably people much poorer than Bruce Wayne, property while fighting Superman. What a self righteous hypocrite. I never read Marvel comics when I was young but I really cannot believe they would have been so popular if the stories were so garbage. I was a 2000AD reader in the 80s and the stories were great. Judge Dread, The GI, Slaine, Armageddon. The names are a bit hazy but I remember them. I'd love to see a Slaine movie, it would be great, massive Celtic monsters and so forth.

There is only one Super Hero who is real and that is "Captain Good Vibes" The Pig of Steel and his side kick dog Astro.

I am sure Cassa will agree.

have you watched once were warriors lately? its like a weirdly choreographed theatre performance its very bland and lame compared to the action dramas this last decade.

Last night I saw an ad on TV for that super hero movie "Civil War", among other things claimed about the movie was that this one is "very emotional".
Well then, that's a horse of a different color, it's an "emotional" movie, so I might have to go see it to see a super hero cry.
Who wouldn't want to see that?

I'm hearing this a lot. Thanks Turnbull****. Good job mate.

What's the saying? Save a dollar pay twice?
Looks more and more like we'll be paying for the NBN twice.

Marvel? Batman and Superman!??
Wars have been started for less.
I'm not a huge movies fan, but Marvel comics are better than DC comics/charachters/plots IMO

I see Jake as a new age warrior fighting a fight within himself to overcome his demons that flow from his fists. You have to look past the fancy pants imagery of other 'Superhero' movies to see Once For Warriors for what it is. Believe it or not, there was NO CGI in that movie at all. Jake's arms do move that quick; his beer bottles are that big.
Think of it like a Frank Sinatra song on vinyl. As rough as the neighbourhood of west Auckland, yet as smooth as silk when you take it for what it is... You're right there for every fight, every feed of fish and chips, and every line of "What's the time Mr Wolf....."
As for the new age 'action dramas'. The drama is in the action. Not enough of it and they resort of fighting each other.

Jake will right their ways.

The best super hero is Stampy the Giant from Game of Thrones. Loved his work in series 6 episode 2.

It is a good Hollywood fictional movie

Edit* I am researching to find the actual category that this movie falls into and will update this post, but the movie is based on an award winning fictional book

Edit** Historical Drama is the category for this move, it is a hollywood drama loosely based on real people and real events.

I'm a bit over super hero movies. I know I stand alone , me vs. the rest of the world but I hated Deadpool. What I really want to see is the second part of Prometheus
C'mon Ridley Scot get your finger out . Prometheus 2 is due out August 2017. When you realise that he's 78, It's going to be a race against time.
