Got a 5 kilowatt system installed 6 weeks ago and still waiting on the installer to provide the permission to connect form (PTC) so I can start net metering
Is this a normal turn around?

A better question is why do you have solar installed before you have permission to connect?

Because I was told it would be no problem. And now back to the original question

If the same person who told you it's no problem is the same person who is submitting your paper work, then you shouldn't have to look far for an answer to your original question

Why don't you just ring your distributor and ask for an update on your application? (however I suggest you don't mention your system is already installed )

It took mine a few weeks for mine to be officially connected, but I just turned the switch on anyway. That's all you mean by grid connection, isn't it? Wiring and inverter are there and connected. All you want is a meter read
