Who else has had this ? Coldest wettest summer in vicco and i get a virus that doesnt excist in southern oz ! Havent surfed for 5 weeks and looking like more ! Cant work or do physical stuff without pain ! Who knows the magical remedy
There's an old wife's tale over here that grabbing hold of an electric fence knocks the virus for 6. But it may just be coincidence that an infected guy recovered after accidentally doing just that. I don't think anybody has been game to test the theory.
I had it lost about 10 kg it wrecked my bones and caused havoc with my system.
Doctors couldn't do **** some people get it and don't know they have it, others suffer for years and years.
I got Ross river and Barmah forest at the same time, make sure your blood tests are done for both. Many times both viruses are carried by the same mosquitoes.

These are things that helped, sleeping, hot showers, dependent on your job role the devils lettuce helps a lot. ( I get regular drug tests so could not, however when doing research how to get better it was a common theme which popped up multiple times)
doctors will willingly prescribe opiates I did these for a few weeks but whilst they took away pain definitely didn't actually help get better.
Missus drive me to a mates in toodyay and he wound the electric fence right up, I grabbed it and held on... it didn't work, not at all, actually it was a really bad idea.
during all this I had no appetite, when I first got it doctor prescribed antibiotics, this led to throat thrush because my immune system was wrecked.
At around 3-4 weeks including two weeks of eating opiates and anti inflammatories like tic tacs I thought I was getting a bit better.
I wasn't as by now I had quite a taste for eating prescribed opiate tablets.
I cut them out and the pain for the next 3-4 weeks was immense, anti inflammatory tablets sort of helped but 20%
By this stage id lost my mind hadn't surfed for two months and wasn't really helpful around the house.
I went and seen a naturopath and an iridologist.
the iridologist said I was poisoned and my system was trying to purge, no more tomato or red capsicum or anything like that ( pizza lasagna are still off the list)
no drinking even now three/four years on, one or two ciders I'm ok but no beer.
So to get better it took no drugs that was the first thing, for initial pain 2-4 weeks no dramas do them but anti inflammatories will rot your guts you can't eat them for months
opiates two weeks yes not great but at least you will not feel arthritis through your body cause at the end of the first week when I hadn't been diagnosed correctly I seriously thought I was dying
diet is the key, water stay hydrated. Eat healthy like every meal, if your not up for eating than make fruit smoothies.
Stay away from red foods and yeast do not eat yeast the bacteria feeds on it.
eat fish and heaps of it when you can.
there is a few Ross river diets online to read up on
If you can do the devils lettuce than you can avoid opiates or Valium or whatever they try give you to say yes it's ok you will only be like this for another 6 weeks or so.
vitamins are good
vitamin c helps a lot too but makes you **** more in the early stages.
Took me around four months to surf again properly and 6 months to get strength back
at around a year the joint and muscle pain had gone
3 years now and I'm at about 80% some people will laugh at this but if I'd focussed on diet and seen dietician straight away I would have recovered quicker I believe.
doctors just want to give you a script and send you on your way which helps initially but it ain't a path to repair yourself

Back in the early 1990's. my 80something year old boss was diagnosed with RRV, had it real bad.
The old fella slipped on cow poo in the cattle yards and got tangled up in the leccy fence and passed out - found in a crumpled heap by his long suffering missus a few hours later.
Ambo to Williams, and into hospital.
Once they got his heart firing on all cylinders again, Walter realised he wasnt hurting anymore. [apart from the scrapes, bruises and arthritis]
Tests showed the RRV was gone.

So this wasn't the original episode, it was definitely a second event???
Does tend to confirm the idea, can't be a placebo effect either.
I'd like to hear from someone who has had it and grabbed the elecie fence and had sucsess the Razz said bad idea ! Theres quite a few that r now finding out they also have it where i live and theres plenty fences here ! I now have a new appreciation of anyone that has severe arthritus !
When I had it I asked the Doc about the electric shock treatment.
He laughed and said its just an old wives tale and there was no possible way an electric shock could magically cure it.
Its a bit like Donald Trump saying drinking bleach will cure corona virus
But if you want to trust "internet seabreeze social media forum doctors" 
or actual trained medical doctors then please give it a crack, but we want to see the vid of you doing it.....ummmmm......for medical research purposes of course....yeah.....thats it.....not for our enjoyment.
