Starting to research robot pool cleaners. I was going to buy the Bunnings offering (Barracuda) but am concerned it wont pick up the dust and dirt.

I'm after something that will do the lot - dust, dirt, twigs and leaves. Maybe I'll need different filters.

Anyone got any advice?

We had one it was great when we got it with the package and i was keen to buy another when it eventually died
However spending 1500 on one seemed a bit stupid so i plumbed for a Creepy Crawly - 500 odd on special from clark rubber

Comparing the two the Creepy Crawly is probably heaps better value and cleans better.

In our area in the northern Rivers, the red soil gets into the pool and clogs any 'through the filter' suction cleaners faster than makes them worthwhile to use.

We use one of the newer style electric ones that collects the rubbish in a bag that can be cleaned and emptied and get much better results.

But all of them work better if you get most of the leaves and twigs out first with a scoop.

Have an Aquavac 500 and a concrete pool with quite a few corners. Works well. 1.5 hrs and the pool is spotless.

The best thing about these is that your wife won't be able to have an affair with it.
