Not being a big business apologist, but...
I think that they aren't allowed to have a bottle shop without owning a pub as well, due to the laws in NSW. And along with the pub comes the pokies, well in NSW at least. I get the feeling they don't really care about the pub side of things, they just want to have their BWS bottle shop next to the supermarket.
This campaign feels all a bit strange when you live in WA, where the only pokies are at the casino 
Man I'm glad the government over here got at least that one thing right.
Think they need the money to prop up their hardware chain, but after watching that vid , I'm sticking with Bunnings .
Have had a bit to do with ALH hotels and their doing up hotels and taverns and have to say they are cheap on everything they do. Love them or not but sporting clubs and RSL's do put something back into the community from the huge revenue they make and are community focused. ALH couldn't give a rats and when we talk about gaming revenue their are some large numbers involved. All their effort is prioritised on doing as little as possible for the least cost and have accountants running the show.
