My good mate (and excellent ex work colleague at Severne Sails Australia) Simon Hurrey has opened his cable Wake Park venture in perth.

<div class="text_exposed_show">so i thought i would pop down on opening day and do some shooting!

Forget your old concept of a cable park - the set up is like a skate park but with nice soft water to land on.The cool features look like awesome fun - I cant wait to get my skills together to be able to ride them.

In the near future there is a split level lake feature to be opened up.

It looks like Tony hawk skate fun minus the consequences.

cable parks are the future... totally awesome...

I don't know why there hasn't been one opened in Melbourne? Brisbane, Perth... Cairns, Gold Coast, Bli Bli, Sydney... they all have one. Fair enough it's a bit colder in Melb, but i've been in Sydney in the middle of the winter and it was pretty damn cold, but the park was still opened, and with a wettie it was fine. I've been in States in cities that have cable parks, where the weather is much colder in winter than Melbourne... but they still have them...
