Given the current public conversation & governments promise of a $17+ billion spend on the aged care sector, I thought this might be of interest. Great work by the artist, food for thought.

I tried to paint a canvas of a white woman kneeling by the water to see her reflection as an aboriginal woman. Turns out I'm nowhere near the artist I'd hoped I was.

Being capable of communicating an idea, an emotion without words is a rare skill to aspire to. Keep painting MrJoe, it will be it's own reward.

In my dreams I'm always around 40, just don't have septuagenarian dreams.
But I don't really identify with the body anyway, although It's making it's presence felt more and more these days.

At the time it was because I was pissed off with my sister, a white woman, minimising the importance of teaching Aboriginal history in Australian schools. She has since become an ambassador for disadvantaged people, mainly Aboriginals, so...

Thanks Brent. Without training or dedication I'll not likely achieve a notable ability in art, but my wife and daughters have simple artistic tastes so being able to transform their dreams and ideas to a canvas is a reward in itself.
