The young fella whose 11, wants to get a Nintendo Switch Lite, my only experience is with Donkey Kong back in the arcades, and a 12 month stint when I got addicted to Counter-Strike back in the day, so I'm not much help to him.
Are these little game units any good?, screen looks pretty small to me.
any other options worth looking at?,
he's keen on Minecraft at the moment on a tablet, but wants to play different games with his friends online.
cheers
The Switch is good. Only problem with platforms like the Nintendo ones is that the games are relatively expensive, compared to iPad for example, and relatively limited.
However the quality of the games is excellent, and of a Japanese taint, which I personally really like. They are fun and interesting games, probably more like what we remember as kids, vs the first person shooter stuff, which i think are all the same, really.
We've had both for 8-13 yr old boys. I bought the switch but they didn't use it much so traded. Then they used their own savings to buy the lite. Switch lite got much more use to my surprise.
