Like most would like to see Waters back but the 30 second sample of this sounds classic Gilmore and looking forward to the release.http://themusic.com.au/news/all/2014/09/23/pink-floyd-announce-details-of-first-album-in-20-years/
Personally, I found Waters morose and self-obsessed to the point where he took his audience way too far up his own into areas of his own, frnakly ultra personal pysche that I didn't want to hear about. He wouldn't be much fun at a party.
I think he should let go more and enjoy the sunshine.
Gilmore on the other hand was inspired.
Some say they preferred them with Barret myself included but not much chance of a reunion there, Either way still enjoy majority of their music with or without great bands are usually a mix a extraordinary talent that can go on same for AccaDacca and Metallica. INXS and G'N'R definate exceptions to this rule.

Who says Guns'N'Roses don't still have it?

Don't know about the barret era, think you have to have knocked back a few tabs of acid to get into that. As a hard core floyd fan I can't wait for the new album. Was a big shock when I heard of the new release, thought they were done and dusted.... Bring it!
The sample sounds very Division Bell-esque, but despite that looking forward to it. They have excellent track record (?!) with albums dedicated to former band members. The dedication to Sid Barret, Wish You Were Here, is, IMO, their best album.

Isn't that why they split in the first place, when Waters started 'thinking' he was Pink Floyd, the long suffering 'no-one-understands' me muso?
But I love Waters over Gilmour any day because he wears his heart on his sleeve a lot more. Gilmour was always, to me, well... just a quite achiever, with not much to say really. At least Waters speaks up about human suffering around the world and does it through his music more than anyone I felt.
