Hey , I'm new to Morton bay Qld boat fishing , I've been given a few gps locations that are a little out of my comfort zone (tangalooma or near to) , I have a 4.2 bluefin/30hp ,and looking for any tips or advice before making such a trip for I've only ever estuary fished . I've checked tides and wind , but looking for the tips/advice not thought of , ty

Heading over to Moreton time of year will mean westerly winds which will mean the bay gets choppy on the western side especially in the mornings. What are you chasing because their are still some good fishing to be had without the need to cross the bay. Snapper can still be had around some of the smaller islands or off Redcliffe.
