Right crew, help me out with boardies.

I want what they used to call a crossover short, now 'hybrid'. Boardies material that dries fast, with pockets so you can carry stuff. I had an Oakley pair and a Severne that were perfect (hint, hint Severne people....) but both are many years old now and almost stuffed.

Almost everything now looks like 1970's walk shorts in slim fit. I have no desire to look like a reject from Abba and the legs are too slim for windsurfing in. Plus a button up front has to fit 100% exact or eventually ya gonna be nekkid when u jump in.....
They are more like formal shorts just made out of thin material, and that doesn't work for me.

I just want normal boardies but with at least 3 pockets. A loose boardies fit around legs and arse, drawstring front, light material, 2 front pockets and 1 or 2 rear.

AND not pay $100 for them........

Ideas?

I wouldn't Rivers unless you don't mind something made by a 4 year old. Don't get me wrong the stitching is fantastic but i don't think 4 year olds should be working. Probably the same for Kmart when i think about it

Yep, best boardies ever, but they don't come in XXXL unfortunately Markie, try ebay, you can still get the old school boardies with longer legs and Velcro drawstring. Billabong/Quickies etc. Why do you need 3 pockets for????? Flares??????Compass????Food????

I go best and less or lowes stretch fabric boardies.
when I find them for $5 I buy them in large lots. don't care if they're the same.
saves using rags when using sikaflex etc. just wipe it on your strides.
One problem I have found on the cheap shorts is the Velcro gives up long before the shorts do. normally not so much of a problem but if you're wearing a shorter t shirt sometimes the mouse can leave the house and get spotted. Akward when yr picking up the daughter from school etc.

Got some ion board shorts
plenty of ballroom, deep pockets for stuff like playing pocket billiards,

Plain colours so it doesn't distract from your good looks and chiseled physique ??

how about a helpful link to the Billabong or Quiksilver that meets all my requirements, in 36 waist, on eBay and under $80???

Cos I am retarded and didn't think to look on eBay. Go on. Please do, show me. Us old people would never think of eBay.
Imbecile.

,
As to 3 pockets, well in summer I am shaping/ sanding in morning, go to shops maybe, then into the water in the afternoon to wash the dust off.
So I need one for keys and coin, one for ID wallet and phone and back pocket for wallet. So who GAF what you think might be in them, its a valid question and if you have so many Billy / Quickie on eBay suggestions, show them...
Imbecile.

Mick, never thought of Ion so will check them out
Cheers

lol , 10 years and the fish in the barrel just get easier to shoot. lol Love ya Markie.
But seriously, why not change your shorts when you sailboard????? Lots of shorts out there with one back pocket for your key, don't need 3 pockets in the water???????????
Not many quick dry boardies will have that many pockets as they are made for surfers, not sailors, and pockets tend to open and drag when you paddle. So most of us surfers don't want pocket or carry crap in them when surfing.

Because why have 2 pairs of shorts, when one pair will do?
With the hybrids I can wear them in the workshop, go to the shop with lots of stuff in my posckets and hit the water later in the day without changing.
Nor washing
Then wear them out at night cos they are 'clean' again

And yes I am aware not many will have that many pockets, OMG maybe thats why I posted here....

Anyway thanks to the helpful peeps, I found some. Good sale stuff on surfstitch but you have to scroll thru 300 results to find the ones with side pockets.

You want to know the real truth about child labor laws? They're silly and outdated. Why, back in the 30s, children as young as five could work as they pleased; from textile factories to iron smelts.

Child labour laws really came about when people started to feel actually sorry for the chimney sweeps that got stuck in the chimneys. And died there. Slowly.

Er ...have a nice day?

I just bought a pair of DaKine Kokio hybrids for $20. But that was at the Haiku store on Maui. Exactly your specs but no drawstring, they do have belt loops to make your own though.
