Getting some conflicting wind predictions of either all day increasing SE or light N lol...More likely S to SE imo & definately swell. Thinking Monday is possibly more likely after the swell lines tidy up & more E to the wind direction...Would really like to see Medina & Italo out on Sunday though.
Looking forward to this one ![]()
Cannot wait I really hope it is gigantic like the swell we had a few weeks ago.
for those who like a punt
jjf is paying I think $3 to win the whole event
jack robinson is $9 ( I put 20 on him)
Adrian Buchanan is like $100 to take it out
and Miguel pupo is also over 100 bucks to win
if it's super mega giant I really think it'll be a jjf and jack robinson final
i never ever bet but really really want jack to win represent
It really surprises me that no one has mentioned Medina or Italo in discussions on who will win at Margs. I don't think local knowledge/experience will decide the outcome as good as Jack Robo is. JJF, Gaby and Italo are just so far ahead of the competition. Remember Italos first wave ever at the Box in his first heat in 2019 on his backhand absolutely incredible, or the fact they have the ability to get the score on just about anything when they need the score
I agree PegZ definately awesome surfers, I first noticed Italo ripping Mains rights a couple of years ago. I'm hoping for bigger conditions. Don't forget J Robbo won Padang-Padang on his backhand & has done very well at Sunset/Pipe...top 10 are all epic these days.
I dont really bet but theres some good odds for some good roughies i think. Pretty sure Michel Bourez, Wade Carmichael and Mikey wright are all paying around 50/1. All very good natural power surfers. Only problem Mikey and Michel are in first heat with John john. I think Fredrico Morais and Caio Ibeli are paying good odds and handy power surfers also

I agree the top 10 are amazing surfers however I think the top 3 (Italo, Medina and JJ ) have an X factor that separates them from the rest of the pack the top 10 have all the skills and experience but I am not sure they have the competitive nous and will the top 3 have. I think Italo and Medina have a desire and hunger to win that drives them to dominate or overcome their competitors that the rest of the top 10 do not have.
