Not surfing/windsurfing related but I am just checking internet providers over there. it seems most of the providers use a data limit every month ... What is the best and most reliable internet in Oz ? I am after unlimited fast internet as I will be working from home mostly and I need lots of data as I will have to upload websites and databases daily.

Many thanks

What stephen means is that anyone hoping for a good internet connection in Australia must be joking.

Some of us are still using tin cans and string.

Beat me to it. Mark still seems to be on the cup-and-string plan . . .

iinet or TPG offer great value. Telstra is generally more expensive. If you know where you will be living check out the NBN website to see if you will have a broadband connection - might dictate where you live !

Telstra used to charge you for going over your limit. The 0.15c/kB (or whatever it was) didn't sound much, but a lot of people got a shock when they received a $20,000 monthly bill after downloading a few movies.

So, read the fine print!

Optus is another one of the big players that provides a 'cable' connection for you to check out.

That is ridiculous. When I hear this I feel like going back in 2000 when I had my first ADSL connection back in France.
