To be fair, there were, and are different ebooks to kindle. I remember buying an early one years ago from DSE and it was woeful. I guess it took the e-ink technology to make them more usable.
As for the Amazon thing there was some write-up about this yesterday where they identified that a huge number of staff at the fulfillment centres have not many effective breaks and paid so little that they were entitled to government assistance despite working fulltime.
I think there was something about them being aloted 5 minutes for toilet breaks and the nearest toilet in one centre was 6 minutes walk away.

Is there anything good about this guy?

It's not Amazon, they subcontract out stuff like that. I guess like lots of other people (*cough* Fauci *cough*), they can say "we don't do that" with what they think is a clear conscience, because they don't *directly* do such naughty things...
If you killed bookshops, you wouldn't be the type to give a toss about philanthropy.
Case in point.
And no, there's nothing good about the tosser.

If you've only just now heard about the workers having to resort to urinating in bottles and live off food stamps...you may as well go back to sleep.
Don't worry, it's ok, government and big corporations have the public's best interest at heart.

IDK.... back in the day Microsoft founder Bill Gates was seen as a right clint to many, but he did end up seeing the light, spending his time on philanthropy efforts.
I think history will be far kinder to Bill than it will to Jeff. He has no redeeming features or ideas on how to improve life.

Fark'n knob!

I dont know, I have never met him.
Everything killed the video store.
Automobiles killed the horse trader.
BTW, has anyone seen a TV repairer lately?
amazing video !
because in this old clip some of actors fly in micro gravity like Bezos and Virgin did recently.
Clearly shots being made in orbit or advance rocket.
Maybe they do even use anti gravity devices ! There is truth, we could see with our own eyes people flying free in air !

Obviously Jeff and Virgin could also hire Hollywood studio or even CGI effect team to get the same flying experience for public footage.Maybe can even walk on the Moon ? Could be safer and cheaper then building rockets by themselves...

Never stopped you from passing judgement before ![]()
If I killed bookshops, I would become a philanthropist.
You could build houses for the homeless and use the lumbar from the chip on your shoulder ![]()

I am not sure if I understand what you are saying, but its common for astronauts to experience zero gravity by going up in a plane that then dives down to simulate this.

this is exactly the case of that spectacular billionaires trip i"nto space".Just a circus trick,
we could jump from table and experience " zero gravity " for a while for free , or even jump from tower to the swimming pool.
I would claim their trip as a farse and misleading public.Their return trajectory must be very carefully crafted to achieve this " micro gravity feeling for a minute or two" .Even falling free object then approach air resistance - but in fact their speed were negligent - in comparison to object returning from real orbital trip.Elon obviously laugh loudly of both individual. The orbital trip and "sustained microgravity " that is what should counts .

Using this circus trick both billionaires skipped this real difficult to resolve part of reentry into atmosphere at very high speed from orbit. Place where space shuttle failed and many others real astronauts died.

this is exactly where the problem starts - 100 km above the Earth -for vehicles returning from orbital space or our space in general:
Our heroes started reentry with ZERO velocity not 17,500 miles per hour like all other astronauts.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atmospheric_entry
Where other fail there is obviously room for me to improve, innovate again.Space Shuttle failed from overheating, Because did really on one frontal surface.

Proposed by me idea : Lets use simple cylindrical barrel but rotating constantly during re- reentry to atmosphere.
Obviously - it people inside- then must be protected by counter rotation inside - even such easy/simple like chairs sliding inside barrel on rails) .But simple barrel made of stainless steel may not even need special thermal protection since all hear will be radiated back.Only frontal surfaces are exposed to extreme heat for short period , but the rest do radiate heat back into space. Even sides.
Possibly none of commercial space craft use this technology - but I suspect that secret military do already lets build better rockets - rotate them when landing !The same method of rotating cylinder could be used on Mars- but so far nobody did try. Why? Lets wait few years and check if Macro Landing Method is better.
It's not "zero gravity", it's free fall. The ISS is in free fall, therefore it is a micro-gravity environment... but it's not zero.
