As b4 success is what you perceive.

My wealthy boss is seen as successful. He has stated publicly that the only way we have achieved success is by "going in and farking people over". Yet the guy has no hobby and no fun and stresses all day and can't sleep at night.

I have a happy family, laugh at work (mainly at the boss) and no stress. I guess many people would see me as an avg wage slave. Go figure.

Success...my kids are healthy and not on drugs. I go sailing every week or two in summer. I have a roof over my head and a full belly every night. I can afford to dine at the cheap local Thai restaurant when I feel like it.

Now I just need to transition to part-time employment instead of this kill joy full-time gig, and I will be a complete success.

Harrow's onto it!

Be thankful for what you have, rather than sorry for what you have not.
That will make you happy.
About half the world would be stoked to be average!

Would it be better to look for fulfillment? Success has an end game. Fulfillment on the other hand is more complicated, involves all facets of life and has a moral/ethical lean where success may not (i.e you can be financially successful at the price of your morals but it'd be hard to be fulfilled if you didn't find a balance between the two.)

there is a short book i read called "life lessons from bergson" by Michael Foley. It goes over some interesting concepts about success and life and looks at life as mastering a skill or art which may be a more fulfilling and often results in success without necessary having an end..

my 2 cents :)

If only he could give up his addiction to Thai food he'd be free from the 9 to 5 routine.

For a small fee of $29.95 I will let you know the secret of success, like the thousands that have come before you.

Re: Suckcess

lol.

I believe luck can have more benefits than being 'smart'.

Luck is a positive force that allows for more chances of success.

There is only one success and that lies in living your life in your own way.

Noticed you wanne be successful, rather than happy...

Anyways, providing you're not just pulling our collective leg, here's a hint.
In project management, in A.I. and a few other fields, there is a technique called 'backward chaining'.
The wiki entry is a good start - says he, all surprised.

I believe it also applies to life, good way to both force the definition of goals, and infer the means to reach'em.
I have found it even buys you contentment - not bad,.

(If all you're aiming for is $$, then have a read of the book "Money can make you rich".. )

If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you have always got.

Change it up my friend, fight, dont be lazy !

Im average and i am happy with that, average doesnt define what i do or how i go about life, life still happens, you can either choose to join in and make it fun or watch it go by, choice is yours. Get of your arse and go and do something different today and see how it feels.
